Entire House Shut-Off Valves
When you need to turn the water off to your home in a hurry, the last thing you want is to be fumbling with a wrench, down on your knees at the water meter – in the dark.
Some structures are built with a “homeowner” shut-off valve for easier access, but most homes don’t have one. If you are fortunate enough to have one it is probably a ball valve type and is likely located in the garage or basement. Some other homes have a homeowner valve, but are installed in the ground near the water meter and can be difficult to reach. You may find them buried in a narrow tube often identified with a white plastic cap. Gate type valves can be difficult to turn, particularly as we get older.

Water Heater Isolation Valves
Many water heaters are installed with a valve that turns off only the hot water to your home (thus the term isolation valve) in the event of a problem with your heater. If you do not have a water heater isolation valve, we highly recommend having one installed.
Aside from potentially avoiding water damage, another benefit of having such a valve is that the cold water to your home can remain on, allowing you to flush toilets and so on, should you ever need your water heater serviced or replaced. Call for more information 928-775-9388
Pressure Reducing Valves
